Paleopathological collection with hundreds of specimens originated from various chronological periods (Prehistory, Antiquity, Early Middle Ages, Middle Ages). The collection includes representative specimens of many anatomical skeletal variations and pathological conditions: degenerative diseases, infectious diseases, traumatic lesions, dental and metabolic diseases, bone tumors, joint diseases, nutrition disorders, trepanation. The collection serves as an educational resource for students and young researchers interested in bioanthropology, forensic anthropology and health of ancient populations. The collection also has a unique value in the cultural heritage as a pioneer collection of important bioanthropological finds from the territory of Serbia.
